  2. Manhattans, Old Fashioned Recipes

    MANHATTAN
      - 2 oz Bourbon or Rye
      - 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
      - 2 dashes Angostura bitters
      - 1 dash orange bitters

    Combine bourbon (or rye), sweet vermouth and the bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain and serve. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

    PERFECT MANHATTAN
      - 2 oz Rye
      - 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
      - 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
      - 2 dashes Angostura bitters

    Combine rye, vermouth and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain and serve. Garnish with a brandied cherry or lemon twist.

    AZTEC MANHATTAN
      - 2 oz Rye
      - 2 dashes chocolate bitters
      - 2 dashes orange bitters
      - 1 teaspoon sugar
      - 1 teaspoon water

    Combine the sugar, water and bitters in a cocktail glass - muddle the mixture until the sugar is mostly dissolved (1 min or less). Add rye and ice. Stir gently and garnish with orange peel

    OLD FASHIONED 
      - 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
      - 2 dashes Angostura bitters
      - 1 teaspoon water
      - 2 oz bourbon 

    Add sugar and bitters to a glass, then add water and stir until sugar is nearly dissolved. Fill glass with ice, add bourbon. Gently stir to combine. Express the orange peel oil over the glass and drop in.

    ELDER FASHIONED
      - 2 oz Gin
      - 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur
      - 2 dashes Orange bitters

    Add Gin, Elderflower Liqueur and Orange Bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until chilled, and strain into a cocktail glass - garnish with a grapefruit peel twist.

    CLASSIC WHISKEY SOUR
      - 2 oz bourbon or rye
      - 1 oz lemon juice
      - 1 oz simple syrup

    Fill cocktail shaker with ice, bourbon/rye, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry.

    GIN & TONIC
      - 2 oz Gin
      - 4 oz Tonic Water

    Fill highball glass with ice, add gin and top with tonic water. Gently stir. Garnish with a lime slice.

    CLASSIC HIGHBALL
      - 2 oz Whiskey (Rye, Bourbon or favorite Whiskey)
      - 4 oz Club Soda (soda water)

    Fill highball glass with ice, add whiskey and top with club soda. Gently stir.

    CLASSIC TOM COLLINS
      - 2 oz Gin
      - 1 oz lemon juice
      - 1 teaspoon sugar
      - 2-3 oz Club Soda (soda water)

    Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add gin, lemon juice and sugar. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Top with soda water and garnish with a lemon slice or maraschino cherry.

    CRANBERRY GIN SPRITZ
      - 2 oz KOVAL Cranberry Gin Liqueur
      - 3.5 oz Soda Water
      - Splash of dry sparkling wine 

    Add ice to cocktail glass, and combine Cranberry Gin Liqueur, soda water and a splash of dry sparkling wine. Gently stir.  Garnish with a lime slice.
