Different than your typical blanco, reposado, or añejo, Libélula is a “joven” which means it is a blend. The blanco contains the pure flavors of the agave, with citrus and grassy aromas, but the oak aged reposado adds spice and richness. Rather than using just a short aged reposado that has some spice, but very light, and keeps most of the agave purity, bust loses some, Libélula takes perfect final products of blanco and reposado and balances them to make an incredible tequila.

Luxardo is a family-owned company founded in Zara, a port city on the Dalmatian coast of what is now Croatia. Girolamo Luxardo, a Genovese businessman, and his wife, Maria Canevari, moved to Zara in 1817 and founded the Luxardo Distillery in 1821 to produce the original Maraschino liqueur.
